DC Reactor

2.png

A DC Reactor is an inductive component connected in series with the DC bus of a power electronic converter, most commonly a variable frequency drive (VFD) or an inverter. Its primary function is to smooth the DC current and limit current surges, thereby improving the overall performance, reliability, and power quality of the system.

Superior Harmonic Mitigation:

All LTEC DC reactors are designed to meet IEEE 519 and IEC 61000 standards, effectively suppressing 5th, 7th, 11th, and 13th harmonics, helping you reduce total harmonic distortion (THDi).

No Voltage Drop:

The DC reactors do not cause voltage drop at the drive terminals, reducing undervoltage trip occurrences in your power grid.

Extended Capacitor Lifespan:

By reducing the "ripple current" reaching the DC bus, our reactors effectively lower the temperature of the internal capacitors, extending their lifespan by up to 50%.

Cost-Effective Protection:

Compared to AC reactors of equivalent impedance on the market, our DC reactors are smaller, more compact, and more cost-effective, offering superior value for money.
